Summary
Hell-o-kitty！ Master of Japanese horror manga Junji Ito presents a series of hissterical tales chronicling his real-life trials and tribulations of becoming a cat owner。 Junji Ito， as J-kun， has recently built a new house and has invited his financée， A-ko， to live with him。 Little did he know … his blushing bride-to-be has some unexpected company in tow—Yon， a ghastly-looking family cat， and Mu， an adorable Norwegian forest cat。 Despite being a dog person， J-kun finds himself purrsuaded by their odd cuteness and thus begins his comedic struggle to gain the affection of his new feline friends。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 this series was brief but so incredibly touching to anyone who has ever formed that unbreakable bond with an animal （particularly one as fickle as the cat）。 i love how the first few strips depicts these cats in Ito’s classic creepy horror style， but become soft and more affectionate as he grows love for the cats。 i cried at the end finding that Yon had died 11 years ago lol

I mostly know Ito’s work from the horror genre， but this was a nice surprise。 This autobiographical manga tells his story of adjusting to a life with cats （not always painlessly）。 The manga was a gift from a friend of mine and a nicely timed one as we’ve recently gotten a cat as well。 A lot of the episodes in the manga felt similar to my own experience of getting used to sharing a house with a floofmonster （fiancé is also the cat-person in the relationship while I was more of a dog-person， which I mostly know Ito’s work from the horror genre， but this was a nice surprise。 This autobiographical manga tells his story of adjusting to a life with cats （not always painlessly）。 The manga was a gift from a friend of mine and a nicely timed one as we’ve recently gotten a cat as well。 A lot of the episodes in the manga felt similar to my own experience of getting used to sharing a house with a floofmonster （fiancé is also the cat-person in the relationship while I was more of a dog-person， which I guess I also have in common with Ito）。 Hilarious and really cute， wish I had read this right after No Longer Human， which left me reeling。 I suspect it would have been the perfect antidote。 。。。more
